On the ranch

The CAB family welcomes baby calves, much cuteness ensues

It is calving season in cattle country, and across our company #calfwatch14 is in full swing.

This (almost) Wordless Wednesday post is dedicated to our staffers who spend more than just a typical 8-to-5 focused on the beef business.

It doesn’t matter if it’s Paul’s pairs in Nebraska…

…or Kara’s calves in Kansas….

or Barb’s babies in Ohio….

We all agree that seeing a new calf crop hit the ground is a highlight of the year.

Back at the Foster farm in Michigan, Danielle’s family has been calving in the snow…

…while Tara’s cows in Oklahoma are in drier country than they’d like to see.

From Ohio, Erin shares her favorite bovine baby….

and Christy does, too.

(Hey, wait a minute…how’d that ovine sneak in there?)

Steve’s calves are soaking up the Kansas sunshine….

…not so different from their counterparts in Laura’s Florida-based herd.

Sure, you’ve come to know that we’re all about the BEEF,

but (if you can’t tell by now) we like all these beautiful beginnings, too!

May your bottom line be filled with black ink,

I love God, my kids, my hubby, rural life, agriculture and working for CAB. I’m officially the director of producer communications, which basically means I get to learn from lots of smart people and pass that information along to lots of other smart people: you. I’m so lucky to work with cattle producers and other folks in this great industry. (Oh, and one more job perk? I get to eat lots of really yummy beef.)
